Position Overview

Day Pitney’s Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology group is seeking an associate with 4 to 6 years law firm experience in the area of technology and IP licensing arrangements, transfer of technology and intellectual property, and outsourcing contracts to join our growing team.
Ideal candidates will have experience representing companies in the areas of domestic and international technology; intellectual property licensing arrangements; transfer of technology and intellectual property and outsourcing contracts; corporate matters; and intellectual property matters, including drafting, negotiating, and advising on technology transactions involving software and data licensing, marketing and distribution, technology development and services; supporting various forms of corporate transactions; advising on data privacy matters such as drafting privacy policies and negotiating data protection aspects in various transactions; and advising on protection and licensing of trademarks and other intellectual property. Experience with startup and emerging technology companies and interest in TBED is a plus. The Technology practice at Day Pitney helps companies capture, commercialize and protect their ideas, inventions and creative work. Our diverse, interdisciplinary group of lawyers possesses wide-ranging technical experience in computer science, media and communications, antitrust, the sciences and engineering, and we represent large and small businesses in a variety of industries. Job Requirements

  • 4-6 years of demonstrated technology, licensing, transferring and outsourcing experience
  • Excellent technical, professional and client service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
  • Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
  • New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Florida bar admission in good standing
  • Office location is flexible: NY, NY, MA, CT or FL.
