Connecticut Business Development Center: Collaborative effort between the US Small Business Administration and the Connecticut State University network providing management, educational, and technical assistances to entrepreneurs.
Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT): An incubator for technology-based start-ups helping first-time entrepreneurs incubate their ideas.
CTech: Initiative of Connecticut Innovations, provides incubator space, favorable market rents, and access to business resources to start-up technology ventures. CTech has collaborations with University of Bridgeport, Yale, and UConn.
CTNext. A developing initiative to create a globally competitive environment for emerging technology companies and to assist Stage 2 companies (10 to 99 employees) grow in Connecticut. Formerly called "The Innovation Ecosystem", CTNext will create and link infrastructure to support innovation, company formation and growth through state-funded programs statewide, but focused in four major areas -- Stamford, New Haven, Hartford, and Storrs.
The Grove: New Haven based incubator to foster start-ups through a collaborative working environment.
Stamford Innovation Center: Physical center based in Stamford, CT offering entrepreneurs access to space, educational, management, and funding resources.
UConn Technology Incubation Program: UConn's Technology Incubation Program (TIP) TIP is charged with accelerating the successful establishment and development of entrepreneurial companies associated with UConn. The program provides lab space (several sizes and with varying capabilities, like dry or wet) and office space. It also provides an array of support resources and services through relationships with various university departments, schools and functions and with government and industry. Incubators are located in Storrs, Farmington and Avery Point (Groton).
