Ben Nissim authored an article, "The New Reinsurance Dispute Landscape," for the Massachusetts Reinsurance Bar Association. In the article, he recaps the keynote address of the same name for the association's sixth annual symposium by Robert W. Hammesfahr of HWR Consulting LLC. According to Hammesfahr, lawyers add value to reinsurance claim handling in the "development of legal strategies and tactics that influence loss size and timing ... [and] helping to define the legal framework in which loss modelers and reinsurance claims professionals make their underwriting and loss-handling decisions." For the full article, click here. Day Pitney is a sponsoring firm of the MReBA. Mike Mullins, a director of the association, served on the panel, "The Intermediary's Perspective: Placement Trends, Contract Wordings, Disputes and Other Notable Developments," at the symposium. A recap of the panel discussion can be found here. |
