Parsippany, N.J., June 28, 2016 - Day Pitney LLP is pleased to announce that Katharine Coffey and Rachel Gonzalez were awarded New Jersey Law Journal's 2016 New Leaders of the Bar.

The New Jersey Law Journal selected and profiled 47 lawyers that, "have already made their mark on the legal profession in some way…The basic criteria for selection of these standout lawyers are that they have developed practice niches, amassed strong books of business, demonstrated leadership qualities, shown expertise in litigation or transactional work and committed themselves to pro bono, charitable and professional volunteer work."

Katharine "Kate" Coffey, a Real Estate partner at Day Pitney, was selected because she, "has built a strong reputation in the field of real estate development." The New Jersey Law Journal noted some of Kate's recent accomplishments, including her successful representation of E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. in its litigation to invalidate an amendment to a redevelopment plan imposed on its property and her successful representation of a former munitions plant in obtaining redevelopment approvals for its development into Class A warehouse space.

Katharine Coffey assists clients with commercial and multi-family development and redevelopment, including land use and zoning, rezoning, the New Jersey Highlands, affordable housing, redevelopment law and financial incentives, real estate transactions, liquor license transfers, and related litigation.
