Day Pitney LLP is pleased to announce that Barry C. Klickstein, a partner in its Boston office, has been elected board chair of the Association of Jewish Family & Children's Agencies ("AJFCA"). The two-year term took effect May 15 at the AJFCA's annual meeting in Calgary, Alberta.

"I am truly honored to be elected to this key leadership position at the Association of Jewish Family & Children's Agencies," said Klickstein. "This organization is deeply committed to providing crucial social services to children, adults and the elderly, and I am excited to be a part of this effort."

Klickstein is a member of Day Pitney's Commercial Litigation department, practicing in the areas of complex business and commercial disputes and products liability defense. With more than 35 years of trial experience at the federal and state levels, he has done extensive work handling cases involving corporate control, minority stockholder suits and securities matters. Among his clients is one of the world's largest casino operators, which he represents in a variety of litigation matters.

Klickstein has held several leadership positions for the AJFCA, including vice chair, treasurer, and chair of the 2005 Annual Conference. He is the past president of Jewish Family Service of the North Shore. He also currently serves on the board of directors of the Boston Yacht Club.

The Association of Jewish Family & Children's Agencies has been strengthening communities throughout the United States and Canada for nearly 35 years by helping to create and sustain effective and compassionate Jewish health and human services agencies. As a member organization of approximately 125 Jewish human service agencies, the AJFCA works to accomplish its far-reaching goals on behalf of its member agencies through advocacy, education, program innovation, consultation, leadership development, public policy and legislative initiatives, collaboration and network building, establishing standards of professional practice, and more.
