Timothy "Tim" Curry, an experienced corporate and regulatory attorney, represents clients in the financial services industry with an emphasis on contracts, transactions and regulatory issues affecting general and specialty lines insurance carriers. He is knowledgeable on the regulatory dimensions of InsureTech, both as a participating regulator on NAIC committees and working groups and as a participant in activities at Hartford's InsureTech Hub. He has also presented at a number of conferences and panel discussions on issues related to insurance company divisions and on the use of big data, AI, blockchain, predictive analytics, autonomous vehicles and related technologies affecting the business of insurance.
For three years prior to joining Day Pitney, Tim was Deputy Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Insurance, with primary oversight of the agency's Legal Division and Business Services office. During his thirty-five year in-house career he served as counsel and corporate secretary at several Hartford-area insurance firms and banks.
