Kim Mercado represents employers in employment matters before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, New York Human Rights Division and Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission. She has extensive experience handling employment matters, including CEPA, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, OWBPA, NJLAD, NJFLA, NYCHRL and common law gender discrimination, sexual harassment, negligent hiring and retention claims, as well as reductions in force in New Jersey and New York.
In addition, Kim provides employers and human resource professionals with daily counseling on employment issues. She counsel employers regarding compliance matters, employee relations and other personnel issues. Kim also trains management and staff on anti-harassment and anti-discrimination laws.
